BOC 101 - Individual Tactical Training
Instruction and exercise in camouflage, cover, concealment, stealth and tactical movement, observation, reporting, trail/hide discipline, light/noise discipline, hand-to-hand combat and tactical formations under all lighting conditions. Course includes preparation and use of equipment, clothing, devices, immediate action drills, security of operations field bases and in-depth transition training in the tactical use of advanced marksmanship with long guns. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team.
BOC 102 - Border Patrols / Small Unit Tactics
Instruction and exercise in the planning, organization, security, communications and the execution of the small law enforcement tactical patrol. Course integrates military special operations tactics with law enforcement procedures and missions. Students operate as a tactical team learning, developing and executing patrols, rally points and procedures, mission support sites, range and sector cards and action on objectives. Patrols begin as cadre-led walks progressing to student-led patrols. Student will leave with a thorough understanding of paramilitary tactics, weapons capabilities and employment. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team.
BOC 103 - Weapons & Marksmanship
In-depth marksmanship instruction emphasizing the law enforcement transition from handgun urban marksmanship to rural urban marksmanship with the agency's organic weapons. Student will conduct familiarization firing, detailed instruction of assembly, disassembly, functions check, and stoppage procedures of assorted domestic and foreign weapons. Student will meet law enforcement POST standards with our proven marksmanship maintenance program. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team.
BOC 104 - Land Navigation
Instruction and exercise in orienteering and tactical navigation under all lighting conditions. Course provides instruction in classroom and field environments. Exercises consist of cadre-led terrain walks, progressing to student-led walks and individual land navigation courses. Course is necessary for all rural law enforcement agencies, especially those who engage in tactical training operations. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team.
BOC 105 - Intelligence Preparation of the Environment
Instruction and exercise in tactical planning aspects of terrain, including the 8 OCOKA factors, basic elements of intelligence preparation of the environment, with a 2-hour block on GPS navigation. Instructors experienced in combat and law enforcement special operations and intelligence. Course enables the officer to predict a suspect's movement and then counter those movements. Course is a compliment to our BOC, ROC, and ME programs. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team.
BOC 106 - Tactical First Aid
Instruction and exercise in tactical first aid skills and field sanitation as it pertains to long-term occupation of hide sites and field survival. Training includes immediate treatment of wounds, prevention of infection, bandaging, pressure points, prevention of shock, splints, litter construction and use. Course teaches the basics of Stokes litters and using them for evacuation of wounded personnel. Emergency life-saving invasive procedures and use of helicopters in medical evacuations can be taught and practiced upon request. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team.
BOC 107 - Communications
Instruction and exercise in developing and executing the tactical communications plan. Special emphasis is on understanding existing communications plans and being able to develop contingency and expedient plans. Instruction includes antennae theory, wave propagation, and the construction and use of expedient antennae. This course can be the BOC or ROC’s secret weapon. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team.
BOC 108 - Tactical Tracking Operations
This course is taught by the Tactical Tracking Operations School (TTOS). Course teaches the dynamics of tactical tracking as brought to this country by David Scott-Donelan. Advantages of this system become obvious when the tracking team follows and makes contact with fleeing suspect in the numerous field training exercises. Unlike most tracking systems, with the TTOS system, the officer can actually “overtake” the fleeing suspect while maintaining tactical advantage. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team.
BOC 109 - Demolitions
Instruction and practical exercise in basic demolitions material including the explosive train. Emphasis is placed on defining, recognizing, construction and employment of expedient and improvised munitions. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team, LEA SECRET Clearance.
BOC 110 - Border Operations Summative Assessments
External evaluations based on the U.S. Army Special Forces Qualification Course Patrolling Assessment rubrics. Assessments are delivered in two forms: Patrolling Test (Individual Assessment) and Squad Test (Collective Unit Skills Assessment). Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team.
BOC 111 - Air Operations
Instruction and exercise in the establishment of drop-zones, marking and identification of DZ/LZ, security of DZ/LZ, as well as the receiving, transporting and delivery of supplies and equipment by air. Course focuses on tactical air mobile operations and training on air drop procedures. Specific instruction includes: characteristics of aircraft, DZ/LZ procedures, fast rope, rappel, and rescue operations with special emphasis on LZ security upon insertion, how to conduct an LZ insertion security, security halt, and transitioning from insertion to patrol. Upon request, we can provide an extra day of airborne hoist, rescue operations in partnership with Priority One Air Rescue Service (P1ARS). Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team.
ROC 100 - Rural Operations Course
Provides instruction and practical exercise in fieldcraft, camouflage, cover, concealment, movement, observation, reporting, trail and hide discipline, sound, hand-to-hand combat, tactical formations, night movement, night camouflage, preparation of equipment and clothing, night vision devices, sound and observation, night security and formations, immediate action drills, and security of operations field bases. The officer also receives extensive training in the fundamentals of patrolling and principles of mission planning/troop leading procedures, and the fundamentals of tactical operations including battle drills, raid and reconnaissance patrols and air movement operations. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team.

WET 100 - Tactical Swimmers Infiltration Course
Course teaches the functioning non-swimmer to be extremely competent in the water through drown-proofing skills, rapidly progressing to long distance surface swims. Instruction and exercise in tactical swimming with full individual and team equipment while maintaining team integrity. Officers learn how to maintain all equipment and weapons while operating in the marine environment, effectively understanding the Combat Swimmer’s Slogan: “Tides. Waves, and Current do not Affect the Combat Swimmer. Prerequisite: Sworn Peace Officer (SPO)
WET 200 - Tactical Underwater Swimmers Course
Instruction and exercise in tactical underwater infiltration swimming as first practiced by the Army’s special operations teams, pioneered by Captain (Dr.) Christian Lamberston ( inventor of the modern Draeger rebreather), during WWII and continued by Army Special Forces today. HT will train officers as tactical infiltration divers in day and night ocean subsurface navigation swims, deep dives, diving physics, marine hazards, tide and currents and open-circuit swims. Course includes instruction in underwater navigation (no underwater GPS) harbor surveys, Beach Landing Sites (BLS) and ship bottom searches (counter-drug and counter-terror). Course concentrates on team swimming, not individual swimming. Prerequisite: SPO, WBT 100 or equivalent
WET 300 - Tactical Infiltration Boat Course
This course concentrates on pure tactical boating. It concentrates on the use of small eighteen foot combat rubber raiding craft (zodiacs) and their different configurations pertaining to mission. The course emphasizes stealth and tactics over speed. The students is introduced to tactical acoustically shrouded engines and the disappearing skill of crew paddling to an objective. The course provides further instruction on riverine tactics, surf techniques, and beach landing sites (BLS) procedures. It also provides instruction and practical exercises in open water transits beyond the horizon using both traditional and GPS navigation techniques. Prerequisite: SPO, WBT 100 or equivalent
WET 400 - Tactical Dive Supervisor Course
This course provides in-depth instruction and practical exercise for officers who act as supervisors during any waterborne operation. After completing this course, supervisors will dramatically enhance the safety of all waterborne operations and be able to conduct tactical dive or swimmer planning, preparation, and inspection; conduct post diving / swimming checks; open-circuit apparatus operations: emergency medical treatment; field repair of equipment; handling of high-pressure air/oxygen systems; tide and currents; and hyperbaric chamber operations. This course is taken from the Special Forces Combat Dive Supervisors course and is modified for law enforcement. Prerequisite: SPO, WBT 100 or equivalent, Team Leader
SWAT 101 - Basic SWAT
Hard Tactic’s Basic SWAT Course is designed to be an entry level tactical class. The residential course is designed to indoctrinate the new SWAT officer into the most accepted tactics and techniques of tactical team operations by providing the student with a firm understanding of basic SWAT concepts and operations. The Mobile Training Team (MTT) is custom design to the need of the client and can either be a basic course or a review and evaluation. Our course is based on solid tactics and emphasize constant drill and rehearsals. Using the crawl, walk, run training technique we will build the individuals knowledge and skill level and then transition into collective team operations. Students will fire in excess of 1000 rounds of ammo, including simunitions. We place an intense emphasis on marksmanship and provide the training to make any student an extremely competent shooter and operator. As with all or our tactical courses, this course is based current case law and most accepted principles. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team, SWAT Team.
SWAT 102 - Dynamic Movements
This course provides instruction and practical exercise in the basic movements of a special operations team. Dynamic movements are described as rapid action techniques for use in warrant service, down officer rescue are also the foundation for hostage rescue techniques. The Training moves from slow individual movement, to rapid movement drills for entire teams. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team, SWAT Team.
SWAT 103 - Mechanical Breaching
This course includes standard breaching techniques to include breaching rams and picks, porting. Ballistic Breaching may be covered upon request. The course is naturally associated with Dynamic Movements. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team, SWAT Team.
SWAT 104 - Stealth Movements
This provides in-depth instruction and practical exercise in the various technique entering a target structure in a stealth entry (stealth probe). Using stealth methods of structure search including the use of mirrors, lighting, shields, solutions, decision making, students become competent at moving to a position as close as possible to the suspect prior to a final assault dynamic assault. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team, SWAT Team.
SWAT 105 - Downed Officer Rescue
Downed officer rescue expands on the Dynamic Movements class and focuses specifically on rescuing an injured or trapped officer. Students will receive instructions and practical exercise in multiple techniques and scenarios, based on in-depth case studies, including mobile rescues, exterior rescues, multiple rescue and probe to down officer techniques. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team, SWAT Team.
SWAT 106 - Hostage Rescue
This course is the most necessary of all SWAT skills. In this course the officer will receive instruction and practical exercise in the planning considerations, team configurations, target aspects, and the proper execution of a hostage rescue situation. This course is also based on in-depth case studies and includes mobile rescue, exterior rescues, hostage control, hostage corridor, hostage processing, and psychological considerations. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team, SWAT Team.
SWAT 107 - Tubular Targets
This course provides two days of instruction and practical exercise covering all aspects of assaulting buses and planes during hostage rescue scenarios. The techniques used are the result of intensive study of case scenarios and HT operator experience. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team, SWAT Team.
SWAT 108 - SWAT Team Leader Course
This is a hard-hitting course in the practicalities of SWAT leadership. The course consists of leadership classroom instruction but provides a great deal of practical exercise in all aspects of the SWAT Team Leader’s action on the scene. We cover all aspects training, training development, and training management. We will teach you how to get the absolute most out of your operators and how to greatly minimize risk in training or in operations. We provide extensive instruction in deliberate mission planning and hasty mission planning. Most importantly we teach you the difference between the two by providing you with detailed instruction in how to evaluate your teams General Orders and how to develop in-depth orders for improvement purposes. In addition, we provide an excellent intelligence operations block which will enable you to greatly enhance your interface with your department and the agencies above and below yours. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team, SWAT Team Leader.
Dignitary Protection Course
This course provides instruction and practical exercise in all aspects of dignitary protection. The primary focus os on the standard procedures police departments use in protection details and is base on extensive experience and case studies. The course includes; site assessments, formations, crowd management, motorcade and escapes. In addition to the conventional requisite techniques, this course goes much further. The course contains an intensive shooting program, instruction and practical exercise in surveillance detection, ordinance detection, and anti-terrorism techniques seldom considered by most police departments. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team.
Patrol Response to Active Shooter
Course is called Patrol Response to Active Shooter. It is one of our most popular courses because we provide the realistic solutions to a wholly difficult and unrealistic event. The solutions in this course will provide the protective responses required while providing the best possible protections against litigation. This course concentrates on train-the-trainer skills designed to enable a department to develop the most desirable response to an active shooting situations and we have developed solutions that will provide the best possible outcomes. Marijuana Eradication
This course offers in-depth training, with our airborne partner, Priority 1 Air Rescue is the most current methods of locating and eradicating illegally cultivated marijuana. The course includes instruction and practical exercises in aerial observation, manual eradication, marijuana reconnaissance missions, probable cause discussions, Short Term Airborne Operations (STABO), and rappel operations. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team.
Basic Leadership Course
This course is designed for anyone who is in or hopes to be in a leadership position. In this course we drive home that leadership is not power, leadership is influence. We teach the Eleven Hard Leadership Principles and the Fourteen Leadership Traits and bring home to any level. The student learns about the three leadership styles and when to use each style. He will also learn about the four basic personality communication style in order to more clearly understand himself and to understand how to communicate with others more effectively. Finally, the student learns about performance counseling and how to properly maintain counseling records while providing inspiration and guidance to those with whom he works. Prerequisite: SPO, SOPS Team, Team Leader.
Advanced Close Quarters Combat
This course is designed to take the SWAT team into the Twenty-First Century. The course is based on solid tactics and emphasizes constant drill and rehearsals. Hard Tactics and Camero USA have developed completely new tactics and techniques to take advantage of many of the new advances in electronics technology that is now available to the technical team. The training focuses in this course includes Camero&s See-Through-The-Wall technology, listening devices, and fiber optics. After completing this course the tactical team will be able to step into the unknown and confidently enter a building with real-world, real-time intelligence as to what they are going to find inside.
